Our First Annual Plant Exchange was hosted by Susan Rightmyer. The temperature was warm and humid, more like summer than spring. But, clearly the thoughts of Westhillians had turned to their gardens and the lure of new plants brought them out to our first plant exchange.
We had hosted a Garage Sale in the morning, but the afternoon was turned over to the needs of the garden. Neighbours brought their perennial plants and exchanged them for new varieties to enhance the beauty of their gardens
It also gave neighbours an opportunity to discuss gardening frustrations and successes. Nothing is so time consuming, frustrating, demanding or quite so deeply rewarding as the creation of a beautiful garden.
