Neighbours Join In Second Annual Community Clean Up Campaign

Over 70 Volunteers devoted an hour of their time to pickup over 200 bags of garbage on the CCA's second annual cleanup day.

In addition to picking up garbage, bags of recyclables were also collected. Here Linda Fraser joins CCA Vice President Ron Wootton, Karl and Lisa Bieley and Ed King in cleaning up the natural regeneration area in Eastview Park

Quickly, with so many helping hands, piles of garbage begin to appear in designated pickup spots along the route.

Unlike last year when the cleanup took place in a freezing rain storm, this year the weather cooperated. Giffen Mack held a barbeque to thank the volunteers for their time.

The CCA would like to thank Giffin Mack Funeral Homes for their support and Community Spirit. And a special thanks goes out to CCA Executive member Patti Fox for organizing the event. Perhaps you'll join us next year!

The CCA was launched on October 3rd, 2005 at a general meeting for the entire community and our Executive was selected on October 26th. Please consider becoming a member and helping us with our work in your community. Membership cost only $10 per household per year.BECOME A MEMBER
